Clothing Needs:

Everyone on the team needs a good pair of shoes.

Shot Put and Discus throwers can get away with a pair of court shoes, but as they progress they should think about purchasing a pair of throwing shoes.  Javelin throwers MUST have either javelin shoes or grass cleats.  Throwing in sneakers will NOT be permitted.

Sprinters should have a pair of training shoes for warm-ups and longer intervals in practice.  They will also need a pair of spikes for racing and shorter sprints in practice.

Hurdlers should have a pair of training shoes for warm-ups and longer intervals in practice.  They will also need a pair of spikes for racing and shorter sprints in practice.  For safety purposes, nobody will be allowed to hurdle without spikes.

Jumpers should have a pair of training shoes for warm-ups in practice.  They will also need a pair of spikes for competing and shorter sprints in practice.  For safety purposes, nobody will be allowed to jump without spikes.

Distance runners need a good pair of training shoes.  Some of you will be able to race in these as well, but as you progress, and expect to improve, you will need a good pair of racing flats or distance spikes.

In addition to shoes, all athletes need to have a sweatshirt and sweat pants.  We REQUIRE ALL members of the team to have their legs and arms covered for warm-ups.  Once the warm-up is finished, they may remove sweats if they choose.

We will provide all members of the team with their meet uniforms (jersey, shorts, meet jacket).  For those that choose, we will also provide cotton sweat pants.

There are a variety of locations for you to get these shoes.  Here is a short list of places:
