Graduation Requirements  

 

To graduate, a student must earn 21.5 credits in grades 9-12.  The following credits must be earned:

 

English

8 semesters (4 credits)

 

Mathematics

4 semesters (2 credits)

 

Social Studies

6 semesters (3 credits)

(RCW requires 1 semester of Washington State History , 2 semesters of US History/Government)

Students must also take World History and Senior Social Studies

 

Occupational Education

3 semesters (1.5 credits)

Occupational course requirement may be satisfied by enrollment in any of the courses in the following areas: Business Management and Operations, Family and Consumer Science, and Trade & Industrial /Technical & Health Occupations, Marketing, West Sound Technical Skills Center, PSNS programs or Traffic Safety.

 

Science 4 semesters (2 credits)
One class MUST be a laboratory class.

 

Physical Education/Health

4 semesters (2 credits) All students must pass the Introduction to Fitness Course

 

Fine Arts/Cultural Arts

1 semester (.5 credit)

Select from any Art, Music, Dance Team, Drama, Debate, Graphics, Interior Design , or Printing class. 

 

Electives

(6.5 credits)

 

Grade Placement

Students attain placement into the sophomore, junior or senior class by earning the following number of credits toward graduation:

Sophomore    4

Junior          10

Senior            15.5

Students who have not attained necessary number of credits will not move forward with their graduating class.
